confessions...

if you ask my husband, he'll emphatically proclaim "kim hates westerns".  and that would be about 99.99% accurate.  but, i must admit, during my late-night channel surfing sessions i have found myself pausing on (and subsequently enjoying) the following movies:

the magnificent seven
a fist full of dollars
the good, the bad and the ugly
westworld (yeah, yeah i know "technically" it is sci-fi)

but i still can't get into the unforgiven.

shhhh!  whatever you do, don't tell orhan.  he'll never let me live this down.  he already makes me watch shalako everytime it's on.

4 cool people had this to say...:

It must be something with the Hadzic men, Omer is slowly pushing Westerns on me ... Of course I did get him a large belt buckle from Texas. Do you want me to pick one up for Orhan?

Let's all just take it easy on Texas huh. We don't all wear 10-gallon hats. I don't like westerns either, but I just watched The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and it was awesome. Really liked it. I was remarking at how beautifully it was shot and as the credits rolled saw that the cinematographer was none other than Roger Deakins, the only guy the Coens ever use. I recommend the movie if you haven't seen it.

texas schmexas! michigan is where it's at. after all we do have the murder capital here. and we used to be #1 with the worst economy - until stupid new hampshire bested us with that whole economic-banking meltdown thing.
