my mother always asks me "can't you put music on your blog like stacy does?". well, mom, yes i can. but the real question is do you really want to hear it?
knowing that the answer is most likely "probably not", i've decided (anyway) to embed music that reflects my current state of mind. i'll give a little introspect as to why i chose it and change it out as i deem appropriate.
my first pick is fell on black days by soundgarden. chosen to reveal my unmitigated frustration of putting down pergo flooring only to have it ruined by flood a few months later. but i must sing the praises of pergo flooring. it dried up nicely and looks as good as the day we installed it. still, we have to rip it out and replace it to avoid any mold infestation. and a shout out to our "guardcat" chewy for alerting us to the leaking toilet. it could have turned out to be much worse if not for him.
5 cool people had this to say...:
oh my gosh....seriously the floor is ruined? that is terrible. and if I am the Stacy she is referring to, I haven't had music on my blog for a long time now. Maybe I should start again........
the floor actually looks very good for what it went through. i'd definitely recommend pergo to you if you're contemplating replacing your carpeting. it held up well, were in not for potential mold underneath i probably wouldn't bother taking it up. and, yes, you are THE stacy she was referring to. grandma is just one of those people who believes that everything can be "improved" (i.e. my blog) - and you should start up with the music again. it's fun to see what songs people pick to personify them.
I think the blog is just fine. And you're right, music makes the blog. I have opted not to put a playlist on the side of my blog and go with the song of the day format. That way I don't force anyone to listen to the crap I enjoy
you're too kind, kevin. i'd much rather force my will and opinions upon others. anyway, mom says that when she looks at your blog, she doesn't click on the songs. knowing she'd do the same on mine, i gave her no choice.
I think only you and my dad click on the songs. Cami doesn't even do it. She says "I've heard all your crappy music" and opts to skip it.
