be careful what you ask for...
my first job: forced child laborer on local cherry farm
i filled tanks of cherries with water and used a badminton racket to skim off all the undesirable stuff that floated to the top. did it for one or two seasons and was paid minimum wage (around $3/hr) which was just enough to cover room and board, meals, transportation (even though i lived with my folks right across the street), and ER visits (from heat stroke). even had enough left over every month to buy a new album, an ice cream cone and the latest issue of tiger beat. matt dillon, what a babe he was - and still is!
my fear of public speaking
always had it, always will. the "i see naked people" technique never worked for me. anyway, i prefer to blog in semi-anonymity.

don't worry... florida photos (and commentary) are on their way. right after i finish mopping up our master bedroom and hallway from the "exploding toilet" incident.
if you pay me enough, I'll sing these songs at a karaoke bar
but it'd have to be enough to cover singing lessons!

why I gave up on "even cowgirls get the blues"

how I'd spend $1,000
1) a better camera
or
2) a 1T external hard drive
or
3) another ipod
then, as a result of #3
4) more itunes stuff
if I had easy access to a helicopter, I'd fly to chicago this weekend
it's the only place close enough of interest. we'd do all the usual touristy type stuff: navy pier, shedd aquarium, lincoln park zoo, frank lloyd wright's houses, the field museum, sears tower, etc. and, of course, i can't forget my three favorite stores - anthropologie, ikea and sephora. then we'd let out the inner barbarian at the medieval times.
